Holmbush is a highly diversified farm in West Sussex, UK, comprising arable, forestry, a tea room, farm shop, biomass business, industrial units, and a paintball site amongst other enterprises.

Being conveniently located between Horsham and Crawley, and five minutes from the M23, the farm is home to a thriving community of small businesses, that sit alongside our own traditional farming and forestry management activities.

Holmbush Forest forms part of St Leonard’s forest, which in itself falls within the Sussex High Weald AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and is a mixture of softwood plantations and ancient woodland.

Our arable land is roughly 80-100 metres above sea level and lies on the watershed between the River Mole and the Adur. We predonimantly grow cereals such as Winter Wheat, Winter Oats and Spring Barley as well as participating in the Entry Level and Higher Level schemes for Environmental Stewardship.

There are two SSSI’s (Sites of Special Scientific Interest) on the estate, one for dragon flies and one for small-leaf lime.
